About Melissa Chungfat

I am a copywriter, trainer, and globetrotter.

Since 2003, I have worked in communication, program coordination, and marketing roles for private companies and non-profits in Canada and Cambodia. I have a track record of helping past clients meet their goals through high impact communications whether they wanted to increase sales, the number of volunteers, or program participation.

As a writer, I collaborate with people to find out what their relevant stories are and identify their key messages to transform information into effective communication.

As a job coach at Simon Fraser University, I have trained hundreds of communication, arts, business, and computing science professionals on getting jobs in their field of study. My private clients from various backgrounds, including a bus driver for seniors and a teacher in Cambodia, landed interviews and secured the job from the approach I taught them.

As I work with more people in diverse settings from remote villages in Cambodia to private companies in Canada, the more I discover how much I love training people to gain skills and become self-sufficient.

When I’m not working on projects, I love exploring the world, cooking with people, and motivating people to explore their passions.
